Henry Coe State Park bicycle camping trip (mountain bike), September 2006

A four-night bicycle camping trip in Henry Coe State Park, starting from home in downtown San Jose, California. Another place that I like to do bicycle camping is the Mojave National Preserve area in eastern California.

I quickly check out the spring water that collects in a large tub and see that a family of small toads is living in the water there.

But it only took me a few hours to get here and the sun won't be going down for another two hours. I'll take advantage of the time to do a short hike down the Narrows Trail in the dry creekbed.
